Introduction

Definition of Artificial Intelligence

Have you ever used Siri or Alexa? If yes, then you've experienced AI in action. AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, which means a machine that can think and learn like humans. It can recognize objects, understand speech, and even play games.

When you ask Siri or Alexa a question or give a command, the AI inside the device processes your words and tries to understand what you're asking for. Then, it uses algorithms and data to give you an answer or complete the task you requested.Looking to generate passive income? Examples of AI in everyday life

For example, if you ask Siri, "What's the weather like today?" Siri uses AI to understand your question, checks the weather data for your  location, and then tells you the current weather conditions.Similarly, if you ask Alexa to play a song, Alexa uses AI to understand your command, searches for the song you want to hear, and then plays it for you.

Another Example AI With : Cat

Let's say you have a photo of a cat, and you want a computer program to be able to recognize that the image is a cat with AI, you could develop a machine learning model that is trained on a large dataset of cat images. The model would analyze the features and patterns in the images,  and learn to recognize what a cat looks like. Once the model is trained, you could then use it to recognize cats in new images. You would input the new image into the model, and the model would analyze the image to determine whether it is a cat or not.

The model might output a  probability score that represents how confident it is that the image is a cat. This is just one example of how AI can be used. There are many other applications of AI, such as voice assistants, self-driving cars, fraud detection, and recommendation systems.

Applications of AI

  • Narrow AI/Weak AI:

Voice assistants like Siri or Alexa can answer questions, set alarms, and play music, but cannot hold a conversation beyond their programmed responses.Image recognition software that can identify specific objects in photos or videos, but cannot understand the context or mean ing behind the images.

Self-driving cars can navigate and avoid obstacles on the road, but cannot make decisions beyond their programmed responses to specific situations.Voice assistants like Siri or Alexa can answer questions, set alarms, and play music, but cannot hold a conversation beyond their programmed responses.

  • General AI/Strong AI:

The robots from science fiction movies can think, reason, and learn like humans.A hypothetical AI that can understand and interpret any language or culture, and can apply that knowledge to solve complex problems.

A machine that can understand the world around it, make decisions based on moral and ethical principles and develop new ideas and technologies on its own. It's important to note that general AI is still a hypothetical concept, and while there have been significant advances in AI technology, we are still far from achieving true general intelligence.

AI Techniques

1. Machine Learning:

Machine Learning is an AI technique that teaches computers to learn from experience. Machine learning algorithms use computational methods to “learn” information directly from data without relying on a predetermined equation as a model.

2. Deep Learning:

Deep learning is a machine learning technique that teaches computers to do what comes naturally to humans: learn by example. Deep learning is a key technology behind driverless cars, enabling them to recognize a stop sign,or to distinguish a pedestrian from a lamppost.

3. Natural Language Processing:

AI focuses on understanding and processing human language. It is used in speech recognition, language translation,

4. Robotics:

branch of AI that focuses on the development of robots that can perform tasks that are typically performed by humans. such as assembly line work, exploration, and hazardous material hand ling.
